Hypercom^® ICE 5500

This Point-of-Sale system from Hypercom^® offers the convenience of an all-in-one solution. The terminal, thermal printer, PIN pad, signature capture pad, and smart card reader are housed in one sleek unit. The integrated design of the ICE 5500 terminal allows for easy installation. One piece of equipment requires less counter space and reduces clutter.

The ICE terminal's interactive touch-screen gives the customer the ability to sign the ICE touch screen creating a reproduction of their signature on both receipts (Not Signature Capture).

This exciting terminal supports checks, credit and debit cards, and Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT). The internal FastPOSTM 9600 bps (bits per second) modem allows for fast application loads and updates. Also, a consumer's Personal Identification Number (PIN) is entered on the integrated keypad, eliminating the separate keypad found in most terminal environments.

At six lines per second, the ICE integrated thermal printer is fast. In addition, the paper cutter ensures that paper jams are virtually eliminated. The thermal printer represents an improvement in reliability with a maximum time before failure (MTBF) of 70,000 receipts and helps reduce costs and improve service.
