The Omni^® 470 provides for debit card transactions via its integrated PIN pad. It safeguards encrypted data through Master/Session and DUKPT (derived unique key per transaction) key management methods. And it supports MAC (message authentication code), which protects transaction data against disclosure. With its optional security shield, the Omni^® 470 also protects a user's privacy when entering a personal ID number.

High Quality Thermal Printing:

Taking advantage of the latest thermal printing technology, the whisper-quiet Omni^® 470 printer provides highly legible receipts automatically at the completion of a transaction. Its receipts are more readable than those produced by an impact printer, and they have a long shelf life - up to five years. What's more, thermal printing is ribbonless; so there is one less expense. The Omni^® 470 also uses an advanced logic-seeking print mechanism which results in faster, more efficient printing.

The Omni^® 470 makes downloading fast and easy. It can accept full or partial downloads, on site or remotely over phone lines. It lets you perform direct application upgrades from another terminal or PC. With its optional Flash EPROM, the Omni^® 470 will even let up upgrade your operating system electronically; thus, you can quickly make firmware changes without having to replace chips.
